The first Friday Night New Wave of 2026 shows up without fanfare or self-reflection. Requests still steer most of the night, with a Then & Now moment revisiting an early-’80s solo move by someone who already had a perfectly good band, plus a birthday nod to a guitarist who quietly rewrote a lot of rules while everyone else was busy watching the singer.
There’s also a Spotlight on The Psychedelic Furs, running through a stack of songs that never really left, even when radio pretended they did. The chat box will be open too, for requests, commentary, or low-effort participation.
